Adrian Hell can no longer run from his demons.

After the traumatic and gripping events in San Francisco, Adrian feels his time as a hitman is coming to an end. But before he can put this life behind him, he must close the one door that has always stood open.

Wilson Trent.

The man responsible for the death of Adrian's wife and daughter. A powerful crime lord, deemed untouchable by both sides of the law. Adrian has distanced himself from Trent's empire for too long. Despite protests from his friend and confidant, Josh Winters, Adrian embarks on a crusade of violence in his quest for closure. But his increasingly reckless behaviour makes Josh question whether this is really about Adrian's past, or if it's because he no longer wants a future.

Confucius said, "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves."

Adrian would argue he'll need a lot more than two.

A gritty, violent, revenge thriller, One Last Bullet is the third nail-biting novel in the Adrian Hell series. Fans of Jason Bourne, Mitch Rapp and John Milton need to buy this book!

One Last Bullet A Thriller Adrian Hell #3 Adrian Hell Series edition by James P Sumner Literature Fiction eBooks

Author James P. Sumner is one diabolical human being. First, he gets readers rooting for an unrepentant, sarcastic hit man-for-hire named Adrian Hell (think Dexter on steroids with military training). Then he teams him with an amiable, equally sarcastic, British ex-SAS soldier/cybertechie named Josh Winters, who shares Adrian's love of heavy metal rock and a good fight. Reading the exploits of this dynamic duo has given me many pleasurable hours of laughs, truly evil villains and lots of really good action.

Now, with Book #3 in the Adrian Hell series, Sumner has pulled out all the stops to give the reader a seriously twisted thriller that will have you emotions whip-sawing from humor to heartache to relief to pity. And that is only in one chapter! That heart-stopping chapter comes in the middle of the book and sets up two epic confrontations -- one with a criminal who has battled with Adrian in Books 1 and 2, and one with the man who inflicted a personal hell on Adrian years ago and caused him to become the Adrian Hell he is today.

Folks, it doesn't get any better than this. (I wish I could give it more stars.) But, in all honesty, you should read Books 1 and 2 before you read this one. They're very reasonably priced and you need that build-up to get the real psychological "bang for your buck" that is found in this book. You've been warned -- now go get this book and be prepared to have your mind blown!

One Last Bullet A Thriller Adrian Hell #3 Adrian Hell Series edition by James P Sumner Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I like how the author ends each book with a tickler for the next book. Each book in the series is written a little better than the preceding one. My problem with this series is the lanquage. There is the f-bomb in practically every conversation. Totally unnecessary to the plots.
These books are GREAT... love them.. I have just started book number 4. The stories are intense. Full of suspense, danger, a lot of action and just the right amount of humor. The stories keep you glued to the book, can't wait to see What's gonna happen next ! Adrian Hell is Awesome. Just like Jack Reacher...
The author has developed the characters very nicely. I enjoy the banter between Josh and Adrian as they take on the bad guys! In this book, more than others in the series, I found more typos and grammatical errors that should have been caught by a good editor. While these errors didn't take away from the story, they sometimes make the reader pause unnecessarily to solve the meaning of what's being said.
I can't wait to start reading the fourth book in the series. The Adrian Hell character is a real winner and has become one of my favorites, next to Mitch Rapp. Do yourself a favor and read this series, you will love it. If you are a Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, David Hagberg fan etc.. you will love these books. A very solid 4.5 Stars.. I'm downloading book number four after I write this. Do yourself a favor and award your self the guilty pleasure of reading this series, it is thoroughly entertaining and an escape from the daily grind.
With every Adrian Hell book he writes James Sumner takes an already well developed character, adds detail and polish and meakes the reader get into his books more! OK, I made a mistake! I read A Necessary Kill, the fifth book in the series before I'd read any of the others, now I'm playing catch-up. I love the Adrian Hell books!. The author has created an assassin like no other, although he reminds me in some ways of John Locke's Donavan Creed He adds sarcastic humor throughout the book which is a nice touch. This book is his best work yet, and it's better than A Necessary Kill or True Conviction, even though they're excellent reads in themselves. I'd highly recommend this series, in fact I've just went out and grabbed Deadly Intent, the next book in the series. Guess what I'll be reading next?
This is another interesting addition to the Adrian Hell series. Adrian and Josh are together again as he goes to revenge the death of his wife and daughter after eight long years. There is non-stop action so there is no way that you'll get bored in any part of the book. It's always kind of hard to believe that he always gets away with everything he does without the police catching up with him because he never wears disguises. This makes it seem lawless but he's the great Adrian Hell so I just put that to the side and read about him getting the best of everyone physically or with his sarcastic wit. In real life there is a lot of lawlessness right now though. Just last week, a reporter and a camera man were gunned down and killed on live TV and a police officer was executed just because he was a policeman. But anyway, this is a good solid book where Adrian and Josh always come out on top,
In my humble opinion, this is a mixture of Assassination and Family Drama genres.

Adrian is not the same person he once was. At one time he was a husband and father working at the only thing he knew how to do well. His family suffered for it. Now he is at a point in his life where he has a formidable reputation and a ton of guilt. He travels cross-country with Josh his business partner and best friend to put his past to rest.

I enjoyed how Mr. Sumner showed Adrian's first person account in some chapters and shared what was happening elsewhere. Providing the reader with a better overall view of events as they are unfolding. It was also interesting to see how different people from his treated him upon his arrival back into their lives.

Warning There is graphic violence along with adult language and situations.
